With over 14 years of experience in the insurance industry, Tricia Matsukawa brings a blend of dedication, expertise, and genuine care to every client interaction. Her professional journey began with a strong educational foundation—graduating from ‘Iolani School and earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, followed by a Master’s in Education from Chaminade University. Tricia began her career as an elementary school teacher, where she discovered her passion for guiding and supporting others.
Her path eventually led her to Matsukawa Insurance Agency, a family business founded by her grandparents in 1936. As the third generation to lead the agency, Tricia found new purpose in helping clients navigate key life milestones—from buying a home or car to launching a new business. She brings her background in education into every client relationship, breaking down complex information and making the insurance process approachable and empowering.
Beyond the agency, Tricia is a committed community leader. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i and is Co-Chair of the Events & Promotions Committee for the ‘Iolani School ‘Io Society Leadership Board. She is a past President of the Underwriters Association of Hawaii and a former Co-Chair of The GIFT Foundation. Her service reflects a deep-rooted desire to give back to the community that raised her.
Outside of work, Tricia enjoys cooking (and eating), traveling, spending time with her family, and sneaking in a round of golf whenever she can. Her approach to life—and to her clients—is grounded in sincerity, enthusiasm, and the belief that strong relationships are at the heart of everything.
At Matsukawa Insurance Agency, Tricia continues the legacy of her family with a focus on personalized service, thoughtful guidance, and lasting trust.
